Read before choosing
- · No barrier product eliminates all risk. Correct and consistent use according to the manufacturer’s instructions is what public-health bodies describe as effective use.
- · Check the expiration date and the condition of the packaging before every use, and store products away from heat, direct sunlight and sharp objects such as keys.
- · Latex allergies are real. Non-latex options exist, and a healthcare professional can advise if you are unsure about a reaction.
What to look for
Condom sizing is usually expressed as nominal width in millimetres, printed on the box. It is the most reliable way to compare fit between brands.

- Oil-based products can weaken latex. Water-based and silicone-based lubricants are generally considered compatible with latex condoms, but always confirm on the packaging.
