Stockings and hosiery
Hold-ups, stockings and tights, sized by height and hip measurement rather than dress size.
What to look for
- Size charts over labels
- Brands disagree about what a “medium” is. Use the measurement chart on the listing and a tape measure rather than a label from another brand.
- Care labels
- Lace and mesh usually want a cold hand wash and flat drying. Satin and silk are more particular still. Keep the care label with the garment.
